Many women entering perimenopause and menopause can feel a sense of loss...feel like they are losing themselves or feel alone & isolated.
This looks very similar to the 5 stages of Grief: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance.
In this episode, I discuss:
-Denial-"I'm too young to be experiencing menopausal symptoms."
-Anger-one can feel anger and/or frustration about the symptoms they are experiencing
-Bargaining-"if I had a child in my 30s, then I wouldn't be worried about losing my fertility."
-Depression-one can feel alone and isolated
-Acceptance-one eventually embraces the "change"
-Ways to the manage this sense of loss by acknowledging your symptoms, listening to your body, seeking support and being intentional about how we treat ourselves.
