About

Bone loss can begin earlier than many women realize, and perimenopause is a critical time to start paying attention to your bone health. As estrogen levels decline, bone loss can accelerate, increasing the risk of osteoporosis and fractures later in life. Yet, bone health is often overlooked until a problem arises.

In this final episode of the 2026 season, Dr. Jessica Ritch welcomes Dr. Ritika Narula, a rheumatologist and founder of Rheumatology Medical Center in Weston, Florida. They discuss how menopause affects bone density, the risk factors for osteoporosis, when to consider bone density screening, and how nutrition, exercise, hormone therapy, and osteoporosis medications can help protect bone health and reduce fracture risk.

🎧 Tune in to learn why early detection matters and what steps you can take during perimenopause and menopause to protect your bones and support your long-term health.
