Welcome to Peri Menopause Power, where we dive deep into the transformative journey of perimenopause and midlife.

In this episode, we are chatting with Unna Goldsworthy, an exercise physiologist and acceptance and commitment therapy expert.

Unna shares her insights on supporting people through life's transitions, and her passion for helping individuals rebuild their best versions of themselves and their ego during difficult times.

In this conversation, she discusses the concept of 'scaffolding' to describe the adaptable support systems required for mental, physical, and emotional transitions, particularly during perimenopause. She also explores the condition Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), its symptoms, and challenges around diagnosis.

Additionally, Unna provides expert advice on modifying exercise routines to better support women during perimenopause, emphasising the importance of energy-generating activities. She stresses the need for individualised care and being attentive to one's body signals and needs.
