1, and 2, and 3, and 4...did you ever count like that when you did sit-ups? I did and I can tell you that not only was it NOT fun, but it was not effective. What we know now, is that your core is NOT just your 6-pack muscles. The core encompasses a whole collection of muscles surrounding...well, your CORE. These include big muscles of the back, those along the spine, as well as the abdominal muscles and 'corset' muscles that run down the sides of your midsection.
WHY is it important to have a STRONG CORE?
- Your core muscles help your posture
- They help you perform daily activities such as vacuuming and carrying groceries
- Core muscles allow you to rise from a reclined or sitting position with ease
- Strong core muscles give you CONFIDENCE
