About

Welcome to my first full episode of the 'Outrun The Menopause' podcast!

I'm so excited to launch on World Menopause Day 2022. The theme for World Menopause Day this year is 'Cognition & Mood', so this is what I am talking about in this episode.

'Brain Fog' is a collective term for symptoms such as poor concentration, memory issues, difficulty absorbing information, and generally feeling like your brain has turned to mush! These symptoms are very common during the transition into menopause because your hormones and neurotransmitters (brain messengers) are in a state of upheaval. For some women this can cause problems at work, but also interfere with simple pleasures such as reading a book. As with all menopause related symptoms, the severity of brain fog varies considerably, and no two women experience it the same.

I explain why we experience brain fog, mood swings and meno-rage, and offer some simple, free, easily to implement strategies to help you as you transition through menopause.
