In this podcast, Anita, the host, explores the need to represent women of colour within menopause media. Menopause affects most women of a certain age; however, the media image of menopause lacks diversity and is often shown as an affluent middle class, slim caucasian woman. Within the podcast, Anita explores how and why the lack of representation can affect engagement; ‘is Black menopause different than menopause within other ethnicities’, what do black women talk about when discussing menopause, and what and how does health inequalities impact black menopause.
