Anita Elawure entered early menopause entered menopause at the age at 15 years. This is called Premature Ovarian Failure – Menopause before the age of 40.
She was told she had premature ovarian failure and told she will never be able to have children when she was only 19. She was all alone when she was diagnosed, and she was given no information on her condition.
Her menopause impacts her health mentally, physically, emotional as well as Her fertility.
She found and joined an online community of women suffering from the same condition, and she has made important friendships with women who understand her have helped her through her menopause journey.
She started taking HRT when she was 19 and she will stay on HRT till she hits menopause age of 50, at 50 she the doctors will reassess if she needs HRT.
Her Menopause impacts her Romantic relationships and Work too.
Anita works to educate sufferers and non-suffers, as compassion and understanding are needed to help the sufferers of the condition. Also, Anita wants to show black female representation with the condition to help black female suffers as black women suffer with I too.
